NSI signs MoU With CSJMU


A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between National Sugar Institute (NSI and Chhatrapati Shahu Ji Maharaj University (CSJMU)

Prof. Narendra Mohan, Director, NSI and Dr.Vinod Kumar Singh, Registrar, CSJM University signed the MoU in presence of Dr Neelima Gupta, Vice Chancellor, CSJM, University

The two organizations reached to the understanding for exchange of faculty, staff and students for academic and research purposes, to undertake collaborative research and development projects on areas on mutual interest, exchange of academic information and promotion of other academic activities and identifying areas of potential interest for further collaboration.

The two organizations would jointly carry out the collaborative research on converting waste to resource in sugar and in other food processing industries for value addition.

Since NSI is already working on development of clean and green energy, the two organizations shall explore possibilities of developing low cost indigenous technologies for producing bio-energy and bio-fuels from domestic and industrial wastes, said Prof. Narendra Mohan.

The efforts of judicious use of technology for addressing issues of air and water pollution shall also get a boost as with the collaboration, research facilities shall be doubled and use of intellect from the two organizations shall be possible. We look at developing innovative technologies and products and their commercialization in future. The revenues so generated shall be shared in 50:50 ratio between the two organizations, said Prof. Mohan.

Professor Neelima Gupta said that with two reputed organizations joining hands the students  would get an opportunity to hear eminent subject specialists and getting exposure of working on latest sophisticated laboratory equipment. This will help in enhancing their knowledge and in-fact in over all personality development.

On the occasion Seema Paroha, Prof. Biochemistry,  Jitendra Singh, Senior Administrative Officer, NSI and Associate Professor Varsha Gupta of CSJM University were present.
